Cork Clubs Marketing Event
Some of the Irish Taekwon-Do Association’s Cork Clubs ran an all day marketing and information promotion for prospective martial artists in the Mahon Point Shopping Centre on Saturday 31st July 2010. The event was timed to coincide with the launch of the new Karate Kid movie. There was an information stand operated from 8am – 8pm where prospective Karate Kids were encouraged to become the next generation of Cork’s Taekwon-Do kids! If you haven’t heard of Cork Martial Arts Promotions (CMAP) until now we have no doubt you will be hearing a lot more of it in the future. The marketing skills of this new promotions outfit are to be applauded. CMAP made sure that their recent publicity activities, at Mahon Point Shopping Centre on Saturday July 31st,, coincided with the release of the latest Karate Kid movie. As hundreds of children and their families thronged to see the martial arts blockbuster with Jackie Chan, and emerged wanting to be karate kids, just like Will Smith’s talented offspring, CMAP was there to help make their dreams come true. And what better product to market than the art of disciplined self defence; this is definitely a step in a healthier direction than many products aimed at the family market. CMAP were on this occasion promoting the activities of Cork’s Taekwon-Do clubs; Mahon, Kinsale, Bandon, Riverstick, Monkstown, Mallow, Youghal, Ladiesbridge, Tower, and Dunamore. So the budding ‘Karate Kids’ may have been swayed to become Taekwon-Do kids, but CMAP assures us that many enquiries were directed to their website where a greater range of Martial Arts, Artists, Clubs and Instructors are profiled. This 12 hour promotions marathon took place from 8am-8pm at Mahon Point, which incidentally has a footfall in the thousands during its weekends, and was conducted from an eye-catching stand which was permanently manned by Mr. Leonard Coughlan, PRO of CMAP, and a fully qualified Taekwon-Do and kick boxing instructor. Yes CMAP definitely knows how to advance its promotions. Further information from 086-3583878 or www.cmap.ie
