International Umpire Course 2012

The ITF Umpire Course taking place in the University of Limerick, Ireland, hosted by the Irish Taekwon-Do Association is shaping up to be a great event. 180 people have already registered including participants from Ireland, England, Scotland, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Hungary. This is going to be a unique IUC as members of the ITF Technical Committee (Grandmaster Marano and Grandmaster Bos), ITF Umpire Committee (Master Katz, Master Dunbar and Mr. Ottesen) and ITF Tournament Committee (Master van den Heuvel, Master Cecconato, Master Vones) will all be in attendance. Many other famous masters and instructors from around the world are also attending. We will also be honoured at this IUC by the presence of ITF senior vice-president Master Weiler and AETF president Master Loboda. 

This IUC will also cover the latest ITF Tournament rules which will be in effect from January 2013.

The main hotel is filling up fast due to this being the summer season, therefore we have now secured a second hotel, also 4 star, at the same rates for participants. We also have plenty of space in the luxury on-campus apartments.
To clarify the on-campus accommodation;
  • **We have been able to secure a cheaper rates as follows
Single basis - €37 per person (no breakfast) or €42 with breakfast
Double basis - €65 per room (no breakfast) or €75 with breakfast
Please note, there is no twin basis.
  • Participants will be able to stay in apartments with their own friends/travelling group.
  • Each person/couple will have their own ensuite bedroom with double bed at a substantially cheaper price than the hotel (all rooms are locked similar to hotels accessible by use of a key card).
  • Apartments all have a kitchen a living room area (The kitchen is equiped with cutlery, pots knives etc...)
  • Apartments can have 2, 4 or 6 bedrooms so based on the size of the group travelling, the most appropriate size apartments can be chosen.
  • Breakfast is continental style. A large basket of fresh fruit, bread, tea, coffee, milk and cereal is delivered to the apartment.
