ITA Summer Camp Report

The Irish Taekwon-Do Association (ITA) Summer Camp 2010 took place in Mt. Melleray, Co. Waterford from Friday 16th - Monday 19th July. The camp was a great success with participants, ranging from 8th Kup to 7th Dan Black Belt, coming from clubs from all around the Country to train with some of Ireland's best and most experienced instructors. Participants enjoyed up to 6 hours of formal classes each day, with an additional option of detailed pattern consultation with top international instructors each evening. As well as this there was a fun activity planned each evening which ranged from olympic handball, to a special technique competition, to tag rugby. Late evening activites also included some very competitive games on the nintendo Wii. Participants trained extremely hard each day which created a great atmosphere and team spirit in the camp. Thanks to all the instructors on the camp for their time and for sharing their knowledge; Master Kenneth Wheatley, Mr. Mark Buckley, Mr. Adrian O'Mahoney, Mr. Stephen Ryan, Mr. Adrian Byrne, Mr. Donal O'Donoghue, Mr. Hong Keat Looi and Mr. Carl Smullen. Thanks also to all the camp participants for making it a very enjoyable camp to be part of. There are over one thousand photos available in the online gallery.
