National Team Announcement

The next training event for the ITF Ireland National Team will take place on February 9th to 11th in Marino Institute of Education. Senior competitors are required to attend Saturday and Sunday. Junior competitors are also required to attend on Monday 11th. A detailed provisional timetable is provided below. Please note that it is possible for all competitors regardless of discipline to be active during the vast majority of sessions.

Costs
Seniors will be charged €25 for the training and nutritional seminar
Juniors will be charged €35 for the training and nutritional seminar

Nutrition Seminar
As requested by many competitors we have arranged for a specialist in sports nutrition, Nora Ni Fhlannagain, to come and deliver a presentation during the camp. There will be approximately one hour of presentation followed by one hour of questions and answers. We have briefed Nora extensively on the demands of our sport, however, she would be greatly helped if she had access to a number of nutritional logbooks in advance of the presentation. To this end, could competitors please complete 3 days of the logbook provided through Google Drive and email it to itfireland@gmail.com. If you haven't received a link to your folders on Google Drive you should contact us at the same address and we'll resolve the issue.

Meals
The coaching and management panel have arranged for the on-site cafeteria to provide us with healthy hot food on each of the training days. A special menu has been designed by us to include Lunch and Dinner on the 9th, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on the 10th and Breakfast and Lunch on the 11th. Meals are not included in the cost of the camp.

Accommodation
Competitors travelling to Dublin for the camp should contact team management at itfireland@gmail.com. We have 21 beds available on site, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The cost will be €22 room only per person per night. We will recommend other local accommodation or arrange for juniors to be placed with local families as necessary. Please contact us as soon as possible to make the management of this as efficient as possible. We ask that all Dublin based competitors return home each night during the camp. For future camps, we hope to have accommodation available for all competitors but on this occasion it has not been possible to arrange.
