Record 830 to compete at National Championships

A record 830 competitors will take to the mats at this weekends National Championships, Irish Cup organised by the Irish Taekwon-Do Association in the UL Sport Arena, University of Limerick.

This event will see 300 athletes compete on Saturday November 10th, where the black belts will be competing for the first round of selections for the national team to compete at the ITF World Championships next April, in Inzell Germany.

As ITA is government recognised through IMAC and WADA compliant, Sport Ireland will also be present to conduct anti-doping tests at senior black belt level.

On Sunday 530 children aged 8 to 13 will compete from clubs all across the country.
