Important Info for National Championships - irish Cup

Below is some important information for the National Championships | ITA Irish Cup 2022.

The competition is broken down as follows:
National Championships
5th November 2022 – 15 & Under, 14-17, Senior Black belts

ITA Irish Cup
5th November 2022 – 14+ Colour Belts, Veteran Black Belts
6th November 2022 – Under 10 and 11-13 Colour Belts

Saturday
Saturday weigh in times:
8:30am – 10:30am

*Any competitor who misses weight must immediately go to the top table.


Instructors can register and collect competition stickers at the top table 8:45am-9:30am.


First categories start at 10am, competitors need to be at rings ready to start the first match at this time.

Sunday
All competitors for Sunday categories must immediately go to the ring as per the below graphics when they arrive, here they will receive their competition sticker from the umpires on the ring and be height checked. If a competitor is measured above their height category, they will be brought to the top table by a ring assistant.

*All height checks will be done before the start of each time slot

Sunday has been divided into 2 different time slots.


Under 10

9am: Arrive and go to assigned rings per below graphic

9:30am: Height check closes

10am: First under 10 categories start

11-13
1:30pm: Arrive and go to assigned rings per below graphic

1:50pm: Height check closes

2:00pm: First 11-13 categories start

Umpires
All umpires must sign in at their designated rings upon arrival at the arena. Any umpires not assigned to a ring can sign the additional umpire sheet at the top table and will then be assigned to a ring. The umpire meeting will take place at 9:30am on both days.

Coaches
Coaching passes will be made available during the day to clubs that have met the umpire quota.
Saturday: 1–7 competitors = 1 umpire, 8–14 competitors = 2 umpires etc
Sunday: 1–10 competitors = 1 umpire, 11–20 competitors = 2 umpires etc

On Sunday all coaches must be 14-17 Blue-Black belt, no senior coaches allowed on the competition floor on Sunday.

Ring Allocation for Height Checks & Schedule Collection Sunday

Umpire Councils Saturday

Please see below the starting ring councils for Day 1 (Saturday) of the ITA Irish Cup & National Championships. Umpires please present to your ring at 9:15am. Umpires who have already been assigned to a ring will sign in at their individual ring, additional umpires who are not listed below, please sign in at the podium, all available umpires are appreciated. The ITA Tournament committee will meet with Jury Presidents & Centre Referees who will then brief their ring councils at their ring.

As we are running 7 rings on Saturday and due to the record numbers, we ask all black belt competitors to bring umpiring attire as their assistance may be needed when they are finished competing.

As always we appreciate the help of all our umpires over the weekend.
