Over 1,000 Competitors for Irish National Championships

The Irish National Taekwon-Do Championships & ITA Irish Cup will see a record 1,090 competitors take to the floor over the weekend of Nov. 5th & 6th 2022. The event will also see our first Inclusion patterns event take place.

The tournament will run on 7 rings on Saturday the 5th & 9 rings on Sunday the 6th, with full electronic scoring on each ring.

We wish to thank all clubs, coaches, instructors and parents for their support as well as wishing the 1.090 competitors the best of success. A special thanks to our team of umpires withom whom the event would not be possible.

Saturday the 5th is for all colour belts aged 14-17, senior & veteran and all black belts, On Saturday the 5th the Weigh-in will open at 8.30am and will close before the tournament starts at 10am. We ask that all competitors arrive before 9am to allow a prompt start to the event as all competitors must be weight checked.

Sunday the 6th is for all colour belts aged 10 and under and 11-13. On Sunday the 6th all those aged 10 and under should arrive by 9am to receive their individual schedule and for the height verification to take place.

Those aged 11 to 13 should arrive at 1pm for height verification and to receive individual schedules.

The umpire meeting will take place at 9.30am each day. All umpires please sign in at the head table on arrival.
